Vincente Ferreira Pastinha, 5/05/1889 – 13/11/1981, Capoeira Angola, student of Benedicto, Mestre for Jao Grande, Mestre Gato, Mestre Gildo Alfinente, Camafe de Oxossi, Mestre Roberto Satanas.

Mestre Pastinha created the foundations for Capoeira Angola.
Pastinha lived for Capoeira; it was his philosophy; way of life. He taught for many years, he educated the aforementioned Mestre. He founded Centro Esportivo da Capoeira Angola in Salvador in 1941. It was at his school that the clothing typical of Capoeira appeared, it was yellow – black, because its sponsor was the fan of Ipinanga football club. Pastinha himself wore a white suit.
In 1966 he left for Africa to present Capoeira at the “1 Festival de Artes Negras” (1st Festival of Black Art). In addition, he recorded the record and wrote a book.
Pastinha was and is the most respected Angoleiro today. His life was life for Capoeira. He died in poverty and loneliness.
